Sacraments
WHAT IS CATECHESIS?
Catechesis is the entire process of information, formation, discovery, and practice that prepares us to receive the sacraments. Our parish community offers catechesis for all ages and life situations:
- Sacramental initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist for children, youth, and adults)
- Anointing of the Sick
- Reconciliation or confession (Community prayer and adoration spaces)
- Matrimony (Marriage preparation course)
- Old age and loneliness ("Tramat de vida" and "Vida Creixent")
- BAPTISM: The first sacrament that introduces one to faith and Christian life.
- EUCHARIST: The principal sacrament of faith and community life, distributed during the celebration of Mass.
- CONFIRMATION: The sacrament that confirms our Baptism and empowers us through the Holy Spirit to live the faith and serve the Church.
- FORGIVENESS (RECONCILIATION): Through confession, repentance, and amendment of life, we receive God's forgiveness.
- ANOINTING OF THE SICK: Blessing and strengthening for the sick, elderly, dying, or those facing special difficulties or serious illnesses.
- HOLY ORDERS: The consecration of an adult to ministerially serve a Christian community, taking vows of chastity, evangelical poverty, and obedience.
- MATRIMONY: The reception of God's love and blessing upon a man and a woman to unite forever and form a Christian family, serving as a beacon of the Domestic Church.
